I need to spend 1 hour with an instructor in order to re-validate the PPL license, do I need any further requirements ? Can any instructor help me and go for a flight to sign me off ?
12 flight hours previous 12 months of which 6 hrs as PIC is needed to re-validate SEP with checkschoolride. If SEP is exempt then it is full check ride with all tricks.
And as from 8.4.2013 expired SEP requires ATO (or PPL training organisation like MIK) to check your flying skills. Then the training organisation decides if you need any training flights before the checkride. So if your SEP is expired you will need at least 2 flights to renew it. Also for EASA licenses only flight examiner and CAA can re-validate it.
